Innovative and prolific. Wumpscut took the typically European electro-industrial of the early 90s —characterised by bands like Leæther Strip, and the Celtic Circle Productions roster—, and pushed it into overdrive. Wumpscut crafted a sinister and visceral sound that would break new ground, and become fundamental for harsh electronic music.

Wumpscut's landmark sophomore release, 1995's Bunkertor 7, would refine the raw and uncompromising sound of Music For A Slaughtering Tribe into a lush and sinister soundscape that so perfectly drags the listener into Wumpscut's vision of a cold, hostile world. Songs like 'Torn Skin', 'Capital Punishment', and 'Die In Winter' perfectly blend Wumpscut's distinctly physical sound with something strangely beautiful; Wumpscut's magic has always lay in their ability to so perfectly wed the two.
